Farewell/Baby Blessing
So first of all, I am pretty sure that the baby blessing circle doesn't have a limit on how many people are supposed to be in it....and I am not judging...but this circle was crazy. I lost count how many people they had...kinda mosh pit style, and irreverent if you ask me!! It was super intense!
Then....it being fast Sunday and all I was totally ready to get up and bear my touching testimony and have the spirit testify to everyone how sincere I am....BUT she had a program all planned and totally ruined my life!!
She bore her testimony.
Her hubby bore his.
Her sisters and sisters in law got up and sang a musical number.
Her mom and his mom spoke about how seriously so blessed her family is now with the twinners.
Then she played a solo on the piano.
Then sacrament meeting was over, after going over!
I am not judging or anything, but seriously who does that??? I mean, yeh for our baby blessing we had all of my family and all of hubby's family, and our high school friends, and our friends from our old ward, and some friends from the new ward, and some of hubby's comps from the mish...but they were all so reverent and wore matching ties with super hot designer suits so it was different. Also, it being Easter and all when we blessed our baby girls we got special permission to take some time for a musical number and some designated testimonies...but we still left time for people who wanted to bear thiers too (like 5 people could have gone if they would have only taken a minute). It's not like we went over or anything!
I am totally not judging...it's just that I have been reading Bednar's new book and he talks about paying attention to detail and paying attention to the people around us in our wards. I just have been putting this into practice and it is making me a better person in so many ways!

Reasons I know I am blessed...
Sad for the people who weren't as righteous as us before and now have to go through tons of trials and don't have the patience and humbleness that I have.
Example #1: We just got new callings. Not getting released from the ones we have right now because we rock at that them. It's okay for me to blog it eventhough we haven't been set apart or sustained because this is my journal. My greatest hubby in the world got a call to be in the bishopric and I got a call to be in the yw presidency…1st counselor…and they are releasing my BFF/r.s. prez and calling her to be the new mia maid advisor!!! (Ooopps! Just realized I forgot to tell you guys that my v.t sister/neighbor/mia maid advisor/new project and her hubby are moving.)
Example #2: I have been breast feeding the angels because that is the righteous thing to do and my moobies look awesome! Yes, some people even think that I got a {GASP} moobie job…but I would never do that because I don't need one and have always been so blessed in that department!! (Is it bad that sometimes I am sad for some of the chicas who have to get one done?)
Example #3: My pre-preggers jeans don't fit me anymore. I am swimming in them! I tried wearing them home from the hospital but no luck, the nurses were like telling me that I {GASP} would need to put some weight back on…EWWW... But I haven't been able to and so I had to make myself some designer trendy jeans that were like a negative size because they don't make a size that fits me. It's such a blessing that I can sew/design as good as I can!!!
There are SOOOOOO many examples and I could and would go on but I have to go because my angels have a play date and I have to get them in their matching designer onesies and too-toos and matching huge hair bows!!!
TTFN!

AZ beats UT!
Seriously.
But this week in AZ really made me be thankful that my hubby kept the AZ house! This might have been the best week ever! When I left UT last week it was snowing...got to AZ and I put on my modest one piece and laid out for 5 days straight!
Thanks chicas, don't know what I would have done with out you guys!
Oh, and my three angels were great the whole time too. I mean, they looked so cute in their modest one pieces that I had to take sooooo many pics...but I can't post them because that would be in violation of their contract with "Baby" Magazine.
Oh and a quick update on the prom dress rescue
project....
Basically the Mia Maids love me, their moms love
me, and because they looked so dang hot in their modest trendy prom dresses-their dates love me!

To Answer Megan's Question...
GETTING TO UT:
When I got to Utah I tried so hard to find some friends like the ones in AZ but it turned out to be a challenge. I had already called the R.S. Prez before we moved to get on the same page and I faxed over our membership records, the bishop must have reviewed them and noticed all of our previous callings and so he called us right away to extend callings!! I even got my v.t. assignment, which I was way thrilled about!!
I prayed that I could be friends with my v.t. sisters and I even prayed for their needs even though I didn’t know what their needs were yet. Then it was like my prayers were answered, and like H.F. was saying that what my v.t. sister NEEDED was ME!
MEETING MY NEIGHBOR:
When we were unpacking this girl came jogging by and introduced herself as one of our neighbors, and she happen to be one of the sisters I was assigned to v.t. I started to take mental notes and noticed that she was pushing a double BOB stroller but it was empty…hmmm….that was kinda weird I thought but I don’t judge so whatev, and then I mental noted that she was totally preggers and could totally tell, her baby bump was ginorm! I congratulated her and waited for her to ask me about my due date but she didn’t say anything about my preggers bump…Weird thing #2!
I kinda started to feel bad for her because while I was mental noting I happened to notice that her skinny jeans were kinda tight and I mean don’t get me wrong, if you can still wear skinny jeans when you are preggers go for it, but when you can’t you should just save them for afterwards, right? I wanted to say something about it but I had just finished reading “Standing a Little Taller” and remembered what Prez Hinckley said about that kinda stuff so I decided to keep it to myself. …instead the next day I dropped off a bag of some way cute clothes that I didn’t fit into anymore because it was last season and that was before I started doing the marathons. She never did say thanks for that now that I think about it, but that’s okay because that’s not why I did it.
JOINT BABY SHOWER:
Then after just a couple of weeks in the ward, the R.S. Prez and I were BFF’s. Seriously. We had so much in common it was pretty crazy. We started canning, running in the mornings, we kinda even started unofficially our own book club, sewing modest trendy clothes, temple trips, we even got jobs at Anthro together just for fun and for the discount! So she offered to throw me my baby shower! I was totally touched because I totally wasn’t expecting that, but then she told me that there was another sister in the ward that they were having a hard time with and that it would be a good fellowshipping opportunity if we had our baby showers together so I totally agreed. I mean, a joint baby shower kinda makes you feel like you are getting jipped but I don’t really need any of the gifts anyway and just wanted to do it for her…come to find out it was my v.t. sister/neighbor that she was talking about.
I learned so much about her from the R.S. Prez. It wasn’t like we were gossiping, she was just filling me in on the problems that they have had with her. I guess her hubby is still in law/biz/med/dental school and she went to hair school/teach 2nd grade and she was preggers with twinsies…(no wonder her bump was so big). My heart totally went out to her and I realized that my prayers were being answered even more and more and she really did NEED ME!
Our baby shower was really fun; it seemed like my v.t. sister/neighbor/new project had a good time. She brought all this stuff that she made herself, like favors, games, food, etc. It was kinda weird because the R.S. Prez had done a good job I thought, but I guess that’s just how she is. I kinda felt bad for her because she was kinda throwing herself a baby shower, but this IS her first pregnancy so maybe she just doesn’t know how things work. When I prayed for her that night I felt an impression that I needed to go visit her more than just once a month.
Side note: When I found out she was having twins but one boy and one girl, I was secretly sad for her. I thought of how much less her kids were going to have since they weren’t both girls, no matching too-too’s and tiaras, no dating twin brothers, no tricking people by faking to be eachother, no being bff’s with your twin sister, no going shopping together, no double wedding planning. I would hate to have a twin brother, that’s just me though. I am so grateful that I have triplet girls!!!
H.F. STILL NEEDS ME:
Anyways, I have been v.teaching my v.t. sister/neighbor/project/fellow preggers friend every week, well trying to at least. Even after I had the girls I still went the next day because I didn’t want H.F. to think that there was anything that would keep me from fulfilling my calling and I want to set an example for my girls (all 3 of them) from the beginning. I knew she was home because I waited for her to pull up in her modest sized year old SUV, she was blaring David Archuletta, and I think she was drinking Shasta (not sure because she hurried and threw the can in her trash can, so sad that she doesn’t recycle.) But when I rang the doorbell she didn’t answer. I kept being optimistic bc that is what Prez Monson said in his book I was reading, and I haven't stopped trying.
THE LATEST:
Anyways, she had her twinners like 3 weeks ago and she still hasn't come to church. She hasn't even had them blessed yet!!! Weird!! I think she might be worried about her post preggers bod. Sad.
So to answer your questions Megs, that is the sister I v.t./neighbor/new project/fellow new mama/mia maid advisor.
It's a good thing I am so patient and blessed with
humbleness for this kind of trial.

Lynzii to the Rescue to Save Prom
First things first, I got a frantic call from my R.S. Prez/BFF this morning that she totally needed a ginorm favor from me right away. So I guess there are a few Mia Maids who are turning 16 right before prom so they are totally going and already have these dresses (that the mia maid advisor/my neighbor/sister I v.t. helped them pick out) but are way immodest! I mean, like no sleeves whatsoever!!! Sooooo…I guess word got out that I am pretty dang good at sewing and designing modest trendy clothes and the yw prez called r.s. prez/my bff to ask her to ask me to help them out of this pickle!
I am so grateful that H.F. blessed me with this talent because now I can bless other people’s lives with it. Sometimes it is so hard for me to talk to people about how talented I am because I don’t want to come off cocky about it…..seriously, it is such a blessing….and seriously I am way good…but seriously I want to stay humble about it!!!
So my advice for today is...
#1 if you are preggers with a girl, make sure you have her
before May because otherwise she won’t be old enough to go to prom and will have
to be lame and wait until a whole other year.
#2 make yourself BFF’s with someone
who can sew/design trendy modest clothes because if you didn’t get blessed with
the same talent I did then your daughters are going to have to dress like total
skanks or frumps, if they have to buy their dresses off the rack.
TTFN…I am going to be super busy with these dresses for a while, they are pretty hideous!!

I gave in...
I really didn’t want to start this blog, because I am so super busy with all the stuff I do for my eternal family, but one of my friends told me that she had been reading some other lady’s blog and she was giving out all this advice about being married, preggers, and eternally happy…but all the advice was kinda off base and my friend totally convinced me that my advice would be better. I am not trying to get rich (because I already am), or make anyone feel bad if they don’t have a family as happy as mine, I just want to share some of the things that I have learned along the way….and maybe that poor girl who is trying to give advice on her blog can learn from me a little bit…if not it is totally okay because I will probably learn so much about myself by doing this and grow as a person for being so selfless, that would be enough reward in itself.
Adam just finished law/biz/med/dental school and so we had to move to Utah. Honestly, I wasn’t exactly thrilled about leaving sunny Arizona to go to boring Utah where everyone thinks that they are better than everyone else just because they live in “Zion” (no offense). Since I am a totally supportive wife I will follow my hubby wherever his career takes him, and because he is totally supportive of me (ADVICE#1) he didn’t want me to have to do that lame fake spray tan crap so he totally saw my side and let us keep the house in AZ as a back up vacay house.
Plus, I have this great circle of friends here and we are all so super tight that it broke my heart to leave them. We all had hubbies in law/biz/med/dental school and we didn’t want to be clicky or anything like that so we didn’t start one of those lame “wives clubs” instead we just would get together to go visit teach, plant gardens, donate time at the humanitarian center, run marathons, do temple trips, write novels, sew modest trendy clothes, and just be examples to each other and to our community.
EWW!! I TOTALLY MISS THEM SOO
MUCHH!! I gotta go, I need to book a flight to AZ!
